The national player Hristiyan Petrov experienced a shock in his second game for “Heerenveen” after his sale from CSKA.
In the 1/8-final for the Dutch Cup, the team of the Bulgarian defender was eliminated from the third division “Quick Boys” with a 2:3 away loss after extra time.
The hosts equalized for 2:2 in the 88th minute, and almost immediately after that, Petrov appeared on the field as a substitute. At the end of the first overtime, “Quick Boys” reached 3:2 and managed to keep this result until the 120th minute.
At the final whistle, the home fans stormed the pitch and celebrated the victory with the players.
