Tom Brady’s NFL team fires head coach

For the first time since officially joining the Las Vegas Raiders, Tom Brady has had a major influence on an important decision by the NFL team. The Raiders parted ways with head coach Antonio Pierce on Tuesday. According to US media, Brady will play a major role in deciding who will be his successor and lead the team back into the playoffs next season. The Raiders parted ways with Pierce two days after losing 20:34 in the final game of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Raiders have only won 4 of their 17 games.

Brady received approval from the other owners in October to buy a five percent stake in the Raiders. Owner Mark Davis and the most successful NFL professional in history had basically agreed on the deal months before. Among other things, Brady’s role as a TV expert for the Fox channel caused concerns for a long time.

Because of his entry, the seven-time Super Bowl champion has been banned from taking part in production meetings or gaining access to the facilities of other teams or their coaches and players since the beginning of the season. However, he is allowed to comment on Raiders games – he was active on the microphone during the Raiders’ defeat against the Chargers on Sunday.

NHL: Wins for Draisaitl and Seider

Germany’s ice hockey star Leon Draisaitl remains on the road to success in the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers. The 29-year-old’s team beat the Boston Bruins 4-0 and celebrated their fourth win in a row. For the first time in 14 games, Draisaitl remained without a scorer point.

Meanwhile, Moritz Seider won the German duel with Tim Stützle. The runner-up and the Detroit Red Wings won 3-2 after overtime against the Ottawa Senators. Stützle provided an assist for the Senators’ interim lead, but Detroit saved itself into overtime through Joe Veleno in the final third, where Patrick Kane scored for the Red Wings’ fifth win in a row.

NBA: Schröder suffers next setback

Schröder only scored five points and also contributed seven assists and three rebounds. Even superstar Stephen Curry, who was the game’s best scorer with 31 points, couldn’t prevent the defeat. The Warriors are currently in tenth place in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, Maximilian Kleber ended the series of bankruptcies with the Dallas Mavericks. After five defeats in a row, the team from Texas prevailed 118:97 against the Los Angeles Lakers led by superstar LeBron James. Kleber contributed five points and assists as well as three rebounds.

While Dallas is in fifth place in the Western Conference, world champion Daniel Theis and the New Orleans Pelicans are still at the bottom of the table. The bottom team lost 97:104 against the Minnesota Timberwolves and suffered their 30th defeat in their 37th game. Theis had three points, two assists and eight rebounds.
