January 14 – Defender of the Fatherland Day
A modern sports complex has been put into operation in a military unit in Karaulbazar district of Bukhara region.
The opening ceremony was attended by the commander of the troops of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jurat Yakubov, Mayor Utkir Kamroyev, Director of Bukhara Oil Refinery, Akbar Fozilov, soldiers, representatives of the former generation, youth and public representatives. .
The speakers at the event congratulated all the guests and the upcoming Fatherland Day in 2025. It is said with confidence that this complex will play a major role in improving the professional knowledge and skills of the servicemen and will produce fully trained, skilled, brave and courageous defenders of the motherland.
Bukhara Petroleum Refinery funded the construction of the sports complex. The cost of the project was 4 billion 87 million UZS. The complex has football and basketball courts, badminton, tennis, long jump, weightlifting and running tracks.
After cutting the symbolic red ribbon, guests were introduced to the conditions created in the complex. At the same time, the second part of the museum in the military section began its work.
