Last December 28, and like every year, about 30 pedalos traveled more than 160 kilometers to get from Rancagua to Pichilemu.

The cyclists began their journey early in the morning from the Cugat Supermarket parking lot in Baquedano, and then headed towards Doñihue, Coltauco, Peumo, Pichidegua, Marchigüe, finally arriving at the provincial capital of Cardenal Caro.

They were five hours of exhausting pedaling that, amidst the camaraderie of the group, allowed them to lessen the effects of distance, constant ascents and descents, as well as the high temperature they recorded on the route.

Benjamín Ruarte, a national paracyclist who participated in the event, expressed that “it was something that I would repeat again, because it is a challenge that anyone can take on. My disability did not limit me, the route was very good and for me it is a pleasure to have finished the route.

“I leave you invited so that we can all go together on this journey and be able to connect Rancagua and Pichilemu.”

It should be noted that, in this sporting activity, it allowed cycling friends from communes such as Rancagua, Rengo, Codegua, Marchigüe, Doñihue and Machalí to be brought together.
