The former Verona player is entrusted to the last team in the standings with only one victory in 17 games
Revolving bench at Monza: Salvatore Bocchetti officially takes the place of the sacked Alessandro Nesta. The club has decided to change technical leadership after yet another defeat in the championship – the ninth in 17 games – and faced with a calendar that puts the Brianza team in a position to compete with a series of crucial challenges for survival.
the EXEMPTION statement

It will be up to the Neapolitan coach to face the next matches against Monza. His last experience dates back to 2022 with Verona: between October and December of that year, the new manager of the Brianza suffered six defeats in six matches in the yellow-blues, before being replaced by Marco Zaffaroni (due to the expiry of his exemption for the UEFA Pro qualification), who he then supported as deputy until the end of the season. Monza announced his hiring with an official note, released in the afternoon: “AC Monza announces that Salvatore Bocchetti is the new coach of the red and white First Team, with a contract until 30 June 2027”. A few hours earlier the press release on Nesta’s dismissal had been issued: “AC Monza announces that it has relieved Alessandro Nesta of his role as First Team coach. The Club thanks the coach for what he has done so far and wishes him the best for the future” .
