The Anti-Corruption Tribunal has banned the assistant coach of a franchise, Sunny Dillon, for six years for his alleged involvement in fixing in the Abu Dhabi T-Ten League. He was found guilty under the Emirates Cricket Board’s (ECB) anti-corruption code.
After an investigation against him, evidence of violation of several anti-corruption clauses was found. This includes Article 2.1.1 — Attempting match fixing, influencing a match for dishonest purposes.
Clause 2.4.4 — where it is said not to admit everything in investigation, to try to hide something.
Clause 2.4.6— which states non-co-operation, failure to co-operate, refusal to co-operate with investigation.
Sani tried to win the match in the 2021 Abu Dhabi T-Ten League. He was banned from all forms of cricket for 6 years as he was found guilty in that investigation. The ban will come into effect from September 13, 2023.
It is learned that the convicted person, Sani Pal Dillon, was the assistant bowling coach of Pune Devils at the time. He also has a cricket academy in Noida, India. He was also the Assistant Bowling Coach of Deccan Gladiators in 2020.
He has been seen sharing pictures with many international cricketers including Shane Watson, Darren Bravo, Chris Lynn, Sheldon Cottrell, Ahmed Shehzad on social media. Who played in the T-Ten League at that time.
