The Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, visited the site of the 14th edition of the Ouagadougou International Tourism and Hospitality Fair, Wednesday November 27, 2024 , within the SIAO. He encouraged the various commissions to work for the success of the event.
A few hours before the opening of the 14th edition of the Ouagadougou International Tourism and Hospitality Exhibition (SITHO), the Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, went to the SIAO site which is hosting the event, Wednesday November 27, 2024. After touring the Kilimanjaro Pavilion and the Le Faso Pavilion, where he was able to inquire about the status of preparations for the 2024 edition of SITHO. “We came to encourage the various commissions who have been hard at work for weeks for the success of this tourist event. We are reassured by what we saw at the stands and the opening show,” he confided. The minister was delighted to see the establishment of the biotope to allow visitors to discover all kinds of animals.
“We are confident that we will have a great show at the opening ceremony which will take place under the very high patronage of the Prime Minister,” he continued.
The Minister of State in charge of tourism stressed that SITHO 2024 will highlight the tourism potential of Burkina Faso, but also those of the AES sister countries of Mali and Niger. “It is above all a forum for promoting the diversity and tourism potential of Burkina Faso in brotherhood with our friendly countries of Mali and Niger. It will also be about showing the world that Burkina Faso remains this destination not to be missed. Because we are rich on a human level as well as in our cultural and tourist potential,” he maintained.
According to Minister Ouédraogo, the success of this tourist event also depends on the participation of Burkinabè people and all friends of Burkina Faso. Also, he urged all Burkinabè to come to SITHO to satisfy their curiosity and further convince themselves that Burkina Faso is a country rich in its diversity and its tourist potential.
