The Chaingy Rural Families association held its general meeting on Friday. The last for Liliane Daude who is leaving the presidency.

The general assembly of Rural Families had a special character and was charged with emotion on Friday. The president, Liliane Daude, had announced that she was leaving her post due to an upcoming departure from the region. His succession has been organized; Emmanuelle Pauvret should succeed him.

A Cambian for thirty years, Liliane Daude served as president of the association for fourteen years. It all started with a helping hand, given at a clothing fair.

360 participants this season

Once in the association, she took responsibility for the yoga section, then became vice-president and president. During all these years, Liliane Daude has accompanied the evolution of the association which, when she arrived, still managed early childhood services and whose modern jazz section had 110 dancers. With it, the sections focused on well-being have developed and, each year, new activities have appeared to meet the expectations of members. Today, Rural Families offer twelve leisure activities.

By passing the baton to Emmanuelle Pauvret, she calmly leaves responsibility for the association, which has 250 member families and 360 practitioners aged from 13 to 84 years old. This season, the Pilates section has 118 members and, recently, yoga flow and cardio boxing sections were created.

At the same time as Liliane Daude, Pierrette Ruffier will leave her position as secretary and will be replaced by Chantal Gelé. During this meeting, three new people joined the board of directors: Catherine Dumond, chi qong referent; Françoise Decante, tai chi referent and Aurélie Stubley, sewing referent.
