Nicolò Bulega (Ducati) took the victory in Race 1 of the Prometeon Spanish Round which consecrated Toprak Razgatlioglu (BMW) as world champion of the Superbike World Championship. Even on Spanish soil the Emilian driver, also author of the fastest lap, was the only one able to counter the alien (this is the theme of the final gag) Turkish, the only driver riding a BMW 1000 RR in a particularly top five varied. In Ducati’s red celebration for the Manufacturers’ title, Alvaro Bautista’s double fall should be noted, ending up on the ground for the second time with three laps to go. Third step of the podium went to Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha), while Axel Bassano (Kawasaki) finished in eighth position. Placement just outside the top ten for Andrea Iannone, fresh from his renewal with the GoEleven team.
