It is worth remembering that the competition, which brought together outstanding athletes from countries such as the Dominican Republic, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Mexico and Costa Rica, became a high-level stage to demonstrate the skills and sportsmanship of the participants.

Among the most outstanding Colombian athletes are the figure champions Cristian Díaz, Ismael Gómez, Oscar Jiménez, José Arango, José Rodríguez and JIn the combat category, names such as Machado, Moisés Molina, Eduard Laguna, Ismael Gómez, Oscar Mejía, José Arango, José Rodríguez, Ángel Valderrama and Johan Gómez stood out.

Magdalenian Oscar Alfonso Mejia Bernal was one of the main protagonists of the tournament, winning two silver medals in the youth category. His outstanding participation contributed significantly to the excellent performance of the Colombian team.

In dialogue with EL INFORMADOR, Frank Abad Zuleta Ariza, coach of the team from Santa Marta, highlighted that, “this event brought positive results for our school, which managed to perform correctly in its participation, as a result of which it brought back 18 medals for the District, demonstrating and proving the discipline and perseverance that we have obtained, so that our representatives are the best in this sport.”

With this result, the Air Wolf Oh Du Kwan Promoter Club School is positioned as one of the main powers of taekwondo at national and international level. It is hoped that this achievement will inspire more young people to practice this sport and participate in future competitions.

Despite not having the resources to cover the trip, the athletes performed well in the international tournament and are now focusing on the upcoming sporting events that will take place in Cali and Puerto Rico in 2025, where they will want to improve their results, according to their coach.
