Núñez was not disappointed and started a round of 65 strokes for -7, to become the only leader with a three-stroke advantage over his three guards, Sergio Acevedo, Tomás Gómez and Franco Scorzato. The leader made no mistakes and made the most of his power, scoring three birdies and an eagle on the course’s four par fives. Monday’s cold and windy weather did not affect the 34-year-old from Tucumán, who started with birdies on 3 and 4 and then added another success on 9. In turn Núñez hit 13 and 14 and scored an eagle on 17 to make a good difference with one round left.
