Villefranche Judo Club Celebrates Historic Black Belt Achievements
It’s a historic day for the Villefranche Judo Club. The twins Mederic and Maelis Henri have just officially obtained their black belt after an exemplary performance during the exams in Rodez.
A Twin Triumph
Joined the club from a very young age, the brother and sister have completed all the stages together. For their teacher, Vincent, this double success is an immense source of pride: You are inseparable, you have grown and progressed together, a bit like yin and yang on the tatami.
Always present, invested and smiling, Mederic and Maelis are real examples for young graduates. If this belt rewards years of perform, it marks above all, as their coach reminds us, the real beginning of their adventure in the depths of judo.
Close to Black Belt Status
The weekend was doubly successful for the Villefranchois Judo Club. In addition to the Henri twins, two other figures from the club impressed with their determination in Toulouse.
The president of the club, Marion Pradal, had an exemplary career by signing four victories by ippon. Despite a final duel against an opponent much heavier than herself, Marion achieved a heroic draw and totaled 40 points. She is only 3 points away from definitively validating her black belt.
Same success for Yael Chazottes, author of a superb competition with four fights won. With 34 points on the clock, he only needs 6 points to win the Grail. The outcome is expected next week for these two exemplary competitors who craft the club’s colors shine.
