Gustavus Adolphus Men’s Tennis Sweeps Opponents, Improves to 10-5

ST. PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s tennis team continued its impressive form on Saturday, earning decisive victories over both St. Olaf College and Augustana University. The team now boasts a 10-5 overall record and remains undefeated in the MIAC with a 4-0 conference standing.

Dominating Performance Against St. Olaf

The Gusties began the day with a commanding 7-0 sweep of the St. Olaf Oles. Gustavus secured a clean sweep in doubles play, with the pairings of Gage Gohl and Tyler Haddorff (6-1), Noah Hakim and Owen Skanse (6-3), and Joseph Li and Quinn Monson (7-5) all emerging victorious.

The singles matches followed a similar pattern of dominance. Gage Gohl rallied for a 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 win at the #1 position. Close Contest with Augustana Ends in Gustie Victory

The evening match against Augustana University proved to be a more challenging affair, but Gustavus ultimately prevailed with a 5-2 scoreline.

The Gusties once again excelled in doubles, with Gohl and Haddorff winning 6-3 at #1. Knutson and Take Mhwandagara followed with a 6-3 win at #2, and Hakim and Skanse secured the doubles point with a 7-6 victory at #3.

In singles play, Knutson earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at #2, and Haddorff followed with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at #3. Deuce Daniel clinched the match for Gustavus with a 6-4, 6-4 win at #4.
