Italian star Jannik Sinner is demonstrating unparalleled dominance in ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, currently boasting 12 consecutive victories and an impressive 24-0 record in sets played at this level.
Sinner Begins Miami Open with Commanding Performance
Sinner kicked off his campaign at the Miami Open presented by Itau on Saturday with a decisive victory over Damir Dzumhur, winning 6-3, 6-3 in one hour and 10 minutes. This win also marks his pursuit of the prestigious ‘Sunshine Double’ – winning both Indian Wells and Miami in the same year – a feat last accomplished in 2017.
Record-Breaking Run
Sinner’s current streak in the ATP Masters 1000 began at the Rolex Paris Masters. He has since secured championship titles in Paris and Indian Wells.
“I believe the score is important at certain times,” Sinner said. “I try to improve as a player and give myself the opportunity to play as many matches as possible. I always treat each opponent the same way, trying to go out on the court and give it my all with a good attitude and going for it.”

With this victory, Sinner equaled Novak Djokovic’s record of 24 consecutive sets won at the ATP Masters 1000 level (since 1990).
Miami Mastery
Sinner’s affinity for the hard courts of Miami is evident in his record. He has won 20 of his 23 matches played at the tournament, reaching the final in 2021, 2023, and 2024.
Next Round Challenge
Sinner will next face the No. 30 seed, Corentin Moutet, who defeated Tomas Machac 6-0, 1-6, 6-4.
