National Monuments Organization Launches Unique “Monument Sports Day” Series

The Centre des monuments nationaux is pioneering a new approach to cultural engagement, inviting the public to participate in a unique health and wellness journey within the historical monuments of Paris and Île-de-France. From May 30-31, 2026, a series of events will transform iconic landmarks into venues for mini golf, yoga, fencing, and guided walking adventures.

Blending History and Health

The initiative, dubbed Monument Sports Day, aims to connect cultural exploration with physical activity. Over ten monuments will host a diverse range of activities, offering something for all ages and fitness levels. Participants can experience sports in historic villas, magnificent castles, and even the former residences of renowned artists.

Palais Royal National Area (Paris)

  • May 30-31: Wellness demonstrations showcasing fitness at the Royal Palace.

The Paris Fire Brigade Gymnastics Team will perform at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on May 30th and 31st in the main square. Founded in 1919, the team demonstrates both skill and a commitment to preserving cultural heritage through sports.

On May 31st, introductory fencing courses for young “Cardinal Musketeers” (ages 6-13) will be held at 11 am, 2 pm, and 4 pm, led by a fencing master.
