Matchday 21 of the Liga Endesa, following the King’s Cup and FIBA window, delivered a surprising offensive showcase. A total of 1,655 points were scored across the nine games this weekend, averaging 91.9 points per team – the highest scoring average in a single matchday in 37 years.
Historical Scoring Context
To discover a higher scoring average, one must go back to Day 19 of the 1988-89 season (February 4-5, 1989), which registered 93.3 points per team. It’s important to note that the league format was different at that time, with two separate groups of 12 clubs before the second phase.
With the current format, this average of 91.9 points surpasses the previous best of 91.7 achieved on Day 11, contested between December 20 and 21, 2025.
Record-Breaking Performances
Throughout the weekend, five teams exceeded the 100-point mark: MoraBank Andorra (113), Casademont Zaragoza (111), Barça (109), Asisa Joventut (109), and Valencia Basket (109). This marks the first time in Liga Endesa history that five different teams have scored 109 or more points in a single matchday.
The statistical milestone was achieved in the final game of the weekend, Dreamland Gran Canaria-Real Madrid, thanks to baskets from Pierre Pelos and Andrés Feliz in the closing seconds, surpassing the previous high of 1,651 points from Matchday 11.

Santi Yusta (28 points), Gio Shermadini (24), and Myles Cale (24) were the top individual scorers contributing to the high-scoring weekend.
