Eighteen months after the screening of the film “Louise Violet”, Alexandra Lamy returned on Sunday to Yssingeaux, at La Grenette, to promote the film “Compostelle”, alongside director Yann Samuell and actor Julien Le Berre.

The promotional event saw a smaller turnout than a previous visit in 2024, with one room of 140 seats occupied. Lamy remained for an hour after the screening to answer questions and pose for photos before traveling to Le Puy-en-Velay for a similar event.

The director and actors engaged in promotional activities for the film, which was partially shot in Puy-en-Velay and draws inspiration from the various routes to Compostela. The film’s poster prominently features the Notre-Dame statue and the town of Le Puy and the story begins in Puy-en-Velay.

Local actor George Grisbi, based in Retournac, also appears in the film, playing the role of the priest officiating in the Puy cathedral before embarking on the Camino.

Charity Screening Supports Brain Research

A preview screening was held to benefit the Rotary charity action, “Hope in the Head.” Attendees paid the standard cinema price plus an additional donation of €8.50, totaling €15 per ticket. The funds raised will support projects selected by the Federation for Brain Research.

Another preview screening is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, at 6 p.m., at the La Capitelle cinema in Monistrol, though the film crew will not be present.
