Lot Youth Badminton Championship Set for March – Teams Prepare
Young badminton players across the Lot region are finalizing preparations for the upcoming Lot Youth Championship, scheduled for Saturday, March 14th and Sunday, March 15th. Recent training sessions have focused on sharpening skills and building team cohesion ahead of the competition.
Intensive Training Camps Held for Young Athletes
The Lot Badminton Committee recently concluded a series of training courses held from Tuesday to Thursday of this week. These sessions were designed to prepare young badminton players from various clubs within the Lot region for the challenges ahead.
Nearly 45 young athletes, selected based on their results and rankings, participated. The training encompassed players from the “poussins” to “cadets” age groups. The sessions were led by Baptiste Dajean, the departmental coach, with support from Matthieu Gardou (from the Figeac club), Léo Joseph, and Théo Prévost (from the Pradines club).
Tournament Details and Venue Information
The championship will be co-organized by Pradines Badminton and Committee 46. The doubles competition will take place on Saturday at the Espère sports hall. The singles matches will then move to the Cabessut complex in Cahors on Sunday.
Organizers anticipate a weekend filled with competitive matches. Registrations are currently still open through the clubs until Tuesday.

Pradines Badminton also saw regional success earlier this year. The team traveled to Puygouzon (81) on January 18th for the 4th day of the regional interclubs of Occitanie, achieving a tie against Albi and a victory against Marvejols.
