Jacquemot Splits with Tsonga’s Academy Amidst Season Struggles

French number three Elsa Jacquemot has ended her training relationship with Simon Blanc at the All In Academy in Lyon, co-founded by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Thierry Ascione. The move comes after a difficult beginning to the 2026 season for the 22-year-old.

Seeking Stability

Jacquemot initially joined the All In Academy last summer, expressing a desire for stability. However, the partnership proved short-lived. We are always looking for stability. Unfortunately I couldn’t find it. I needed to get back to my habits, the stability I had with them. I felt I needed it. Coming back here really does me good, she stated in November, according to L’Equipe. The collaboration was officially concluded at the end of February.

Early Season Struggles and Frustration

Despite a first-round victory over Marta Kostyuk, ranked 20th in the world, at the Australian Open, Jacquemot’s form has dipped significantly. Her record currently stands at one win and seven losses for the year 2026. Frustration boiled over during the Australian Grand Slam, with Jacquemot reportedly directing verbal criticism towards coach Simon Blanc, leading to him leaving the court.

Modern Support System

Cornet and Perret to Provide Interim Support

Following strong performances at Porte d’Auteuil last year, which propelled her to 63rd in the WTA rankings, Jacquemot had initially teamed up with Loïs Boisson. However, Boisson’s injury setbacks led to a change in plans. Jacquemot will now be supported by Alizé Cornet and Bertrand Perret during her tour in the United States, specifically at Indian Wells and Miami. The duo previously provided similar interim support to Varvara Gracheva at the Australian Open.

Having moved between several training structures throughout her career – including All In, the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, and Élite Tennis Center – Jacquemot is currently without a permanent coach.
