INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The DePaul women’s tennis team secured a decisive 5-2 victory over the UConn Huskies on Saturday afternoon at IRC East. This win elevates the Blue Demons to a 6-6 overall record and an unblemished 3-0 standing in BIG EAST competition.
Doubles Play Sets the Tone
DePaul quickly established control, winning the doubles point. The duo of Clara Nilsson and Hannah Smith secured a 6-3 victory at the No. 1 court. Helin Alvarez and Roberta Sechi followed with a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles, solidifying the early advantage for the Blue Demons.
Singles Success Seals the Deal
