The 1,500 meters proved to be a more tactical race, but Cortes finished strong, completing the last 400 meters in under a minute and finishing with a time of 4:13.95.

The Ciudad de Lepe Club also celebrated success at the Andalusian Championship, with Pilar Cartes winning gold in the long jump with a personal best of 4.43 meters and securing a bronze medal in the 60 meters with a time of 9.07. Isabel María Madera finished fifth in the M50 1,500m with a time of 5:44.08.
