Anthony Kim Claims Dramatic Victory at LIV Golf Adelaide
Adelaide, Australia – Anthony Kim delivered a stunning performance at The Grange Golf Club, winning the 2026 LIV Golf Adelaide tournament with a three-shot victory over Jon Rahm. Kim’s win marks his first professional victory in nearly 16 years, a comeback story fueled by dedication and perseverance.
Kim’s Final Round Surge
Kim carded a bogey-free 9-under 63 in the final round, finishing with a 72-hole total of 23-under 265. Rahm finished at 20-under, while Bryson DeChambeau and Peter Uihlein tied for third at 17-under. Peter Uihlein finished in solo third place on 21-under total.
The victory earned Kim a $4,000,000 prize from the $20,000,000 LIV Golf purse. He also received 23 Official World Golf Ranking points and 200 LIV Golf points towards the season-long points race, where the winner receives $6 million.
Niemann’s Strong Finish, Just Short of the Top
Chile’s Joaquin Niemann finished in a tie for 12th place with a cumulative score of 14-under, one stroke outside the top 10. Niemann recorded a final-round score of 4-under.
Niemann started his round from the 4th hole, opening with a birdie. He added another birdie on the 7th, but a bogey on the 8th briefly stalled his momentum. He rebounded with birdies on holes 10 and 13 and capped off his round with an eagle after a 43-yard approach shot. A final bogey on the 3rd ultimately kept him from a higher finish.

Celebration and Support from Fellow Players
Cam Smith expressed his delight at Kim’s victory, saying, It’s great. If it hadn’t been one of us this week, for him to win here in Adelaide, in our biggest event, it’s great. I’m very happy for him. Has worked hard. I actually played with Anthony his first round in Saudi Arabia a few years ago, and it was pretty rough, to say the least, and I was very skeptical at first. But what he’s accomplished in the last two seasons, trying his hardest and achieving what he did today, is very special.
Marc Leishman highlighted the personal significance of Kim’s comeback, stating, As a father, it is incredible what he has done for his daughter. I think that all of us, as fathers, play for our family, for our wife, our children and everything else, and for the whole family. But the fact that he was able to change his life through golf in that way shows what a good person and how strong he is, what golf can do for you.
Jon Rahm acknowledged Kim’s impressive performance, noting, that was one of the most incredible and exciting rounds of golf. Maybe in two and three shots he had to make pars, but then he was absolutely impeccable on a difficult course.
