Dallas Mavericks Star Moves On

Dallas – In a surprise move, just a year after arriving in a high-profile trade, basketball superstar Anthony Davis is leaving the Dallas Mavericks. According to multiple media reports, including the Associated Press, Davis is set to join the Washington Wizards as part of an eight-player swap.

“This trade just didn’t make sense. There is no explanation for it.”

Injuries Marred Davis’ Dallas Tenure

Davis’ short stint in Dallas was curtailed by injury, with the ten-time NBA All-Star making just 29 appearances. Last year’s trade saw him leave the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Luka Doncic, a move that proved highly controversial. Following the trade, Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison also departed.

Trading Places

In addition to Davis, Jaden Hardy, D’Angelo Russell, and Dante Exum are expected to move to Washington. The Mavericks will receive Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, and Marvin Bagley III in return.
