Nani Makes Stunning Comeback at FK Aktobe in Kazakhstan

From Retirement to Kazakhstan

In an unexpected twist, Portuguese football legend Nani is making a comeback after a year-long retirement. The 39-year-old, who announced his career end in January 2025, has signed a one-year contract with Kazakh first division club FK Aktobe.

“I’m excited for this new challenge,” Nani said. “FK Aktobe is a club with great history, and I’m eager to contribute to its future success.”

Nani’s Elusive Career

This move marks the eighth country in Nani’s prolific career, having previously played in Australia, the USA, England, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Turkey. At FK Aktobe, he will meet former Bochum player Ivan Ordets.

FK Aktobe finished last season in fifth place, missing the qualification for international business.

European Champion and CL Winner

Throughout his career, Nani became European champion with Portugal in 2016 and won the UEFA Champions League with Manchester United. He also secured four English Premier League titles.
