TSN Olympic Roster Projection December 2025

Top Forward Cracked the Roster

TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button and Hockey Analyst Mike Johnson have made three significant changes to their projected roster for Team Canada ahead of the Dec. 31 deadline for the upcoming Olympics.

  • Connor Bedard – The Chicago Blackhawks’ star forward has cracked the roster, replacing Zach Hyman. Bedard is tied for fifth in the NHL in goals (18) and sixth in scoring (40 points).
  • Defence Changes – Defencemen Matthew Schaefer and Drew Doughty are now on Canada’s bottom pairing, replacing Thomas Harley and Brandon Montour.
  • Line Shuffles – Forward Macklin Celebrini has been elevated to the second line alongside Connor McDavid and Sam Reinhart, while Brandon Hagel joins Nick Suzuki and Mitch Marner on the third line.

Goaltending Trio Remains the Same

Button and Johnson have kept the goaltending trio of Jordan Binnington, Darcy Kuemper, and Logan Thompson from their November projection.

“This is who Craig Button and Mike Johnson would pick if it were their choice – not a prediction of what Team Canada will do.”
