Eastern Michigan University Secures Hoops Star in 2013-14 Recruit: Haley Moore

Eastern Michigan University (EMU) has landed a powerhouse recruit for the 2013-14 season, with the signing of Nebraskan basketball sensation, Haley Moore. This all-conference standout is set to electrify the college basketball scene with her exceptional skills and records earned throughout her high school career.

Standout Basketball Career

• Named first team all-conference in basketball four times.
• Earned Journal Star and Omaha World Herald Class C-1 Honorable Mention All-State team thrice.
• Led her team in points for three seasons, with a career-high 355 points in her senior year.
• Set her school’s record for most points in a game (34), most three-pointers in a game (9), three-pointers in a season (61), career points (1,328), and career three-pointers (227).

“Haley Moore has been the focal point of our offense for four years,” said head coach Andy Adkins, emphasizing her significance to her team’s success.

Versatile Athlete

Moore’s talents extend beyond the basketball court. She earned second team all-conference honors in volleyball as a sophomore, followed by first team nods in her junior and senior years. In track, she qualified for state in the triple jump during her freshman season.

Off the Court

Off the court, Moore is a pre-pharmacy major. She is the daughter of Ed and Lisa Moore and has a brother, Parker, and two sisters, Alicia and Taylor. Hailing from Milford, Neb., Moore was instrumental in her volleyball team’s first Southern Nebraska Conference Championship in 33 years.
