Teruel, Spain – ‘Namaste, Friend’, a short film produced at the Vega del Turia Institute, swept the national Cima 10 Award, celebrating its third edition, which was themed around equality.

Directed by the young and talented Mario Selvi, along with students of the institute’s Audiovisual Production cycle, ‘Namaste, Friend’ premiered at Teruel’s Maravillas Cinema in May of this year. Winning the Cima 10 Award amidst 274 submitted scripts by youth aged 16-23, it’s clear that the film has resonated strongly with its audience.

Following its triumph, ‘Namaste, Friend’ has been embarking on a provincial tour, thanks to the partnership between Teruel Provincial Council and Movibeta. The film has been captivating audiences across various theaters in the province:

• Calaceite (November 21): Coinciding with Teruel’s conference on trans visibility, ‘Namaste, Friend’ was screened, followed by an open discussion.
• Bezas (November 22): The film stepped into another hall, withBezas’ residents embracing the short film’s message.
• Cella (November 23): ‘Namaste, Friend’s cinematic conquest continued, concluding the weekend’s screenings at Cella’s theater.
