Xàtiva Bádminton’s Phenomenal Weekend: Five Medals Across Three Major Tournaments
Sports enthusiasts, take note! The Club Bádminton Xàtiva has certainly made waves in the world of bádminton, clinching a staggering five medals in just three prestigious tournaments over the weekend. Here’s a recap of their impressive showings:
Circuito Nacional de Parabádminton, Moral de Calatrava (Castilla La Mancha)

Selenia Pla, representing Xàtiva, secured a silver medal in the doubles category, teaming up with Manuel Serrano from CB Benalmádena. They reached the final, but unfortunately lost 21-11, 21-11 to Maya Alcaide and Unai Fernández.

Pla also participated in the singles event but failed to qualify for the semifinals, finishing fifth overall.
Spanish International U17, Ibiza, and Campeonato Alemán de Parabádminton, Leipzig (Germany)
Xàtiva’s Feliu Terol had an exceptional weekend, winning the bronze medal in the Spanish International U15 and U17 tournament held in Ibiza.
“Feliu started his journey strong, with a closely-fought 22-20, 15-21, 21-15 victory over Tomáš Phu from Switzerland, securing a spot in the quarters.” – Spanish International U17 Recap
After a tough semifinal loss to Raúl Hernández (21-10, 21-15), Feliu bounced back to clinch the bronze.
Campeonato Alemán de Parabádminton, Leipzig (Germany)

Thomas Wandschneider, a German native playing for Xàtiva, took home an oro and two plata medals from the Campeonato Alemán de Parabádminton.

In the individual category, he lost to teammate Rick Cornell in the final due to a height disadvantage in their respective categories (WH1 and WH2).

Wandschneider and Cornell teamed up to win the oro in the doubles category (WH1-WH2).

In the mixed doubles, Wandschneider and his partner secured a plata medal.
