Tennessee baseball has snapped up Keegan Knoll as their new strength and conditioning coach under head coach Josh Elander, a 247Sports source close to the situation has confirmed.

Bringing MLB Experience to Knoxville
Knoll joins the Volunteers after spending the 2025 season with the Milwaukee Brewers and boasting seven years of experience with the Chicago Cubs (2018-2024). He was promoted to Major League strength and conditioning coach in June 2022 after serving as an assistant.
- Worked alongside Quentin Eberhardt, whom he is replacing, with the Cubs from December 2021 to mid-2022.
- Employed similar programming to Eberhardt’s and provides MLB experience, a priority in Elander’s search for a new strength coach.
Eberhardt’s Transition to the San Francisco Giants
Eberhardt, after seven seasons with the Vols, has accepted the role of Director of Performance with the San Francisco Giants. He will be reunited with former Tennessee coach Tony Vitello, now the Giants’ manager.
Eberhardt will oversee major league strength and conditioning, sports science, nutrition, and mental health for the Giants, beginning in late November.
Elander’s New Staff Comes Together
Elander has retained pitching coach Frank Anderson and appointed assistant coach Ross Kivett as recruiting coordinator. He has also hired Chuck Jeroloman from Florida as associate head coach.
