This 1990-91 set marked SkyBox’s entry into the basketball card market. The complete set contains 423 standard size cards featuring NBA players. The set was released in two sets of 300 and 123 cards, respectively. The front features an action shot of the player against a computer-generated background with different color schemes. The player’s name appears in a black stripe at the bottom with the team logo superimposed on the lower left side. The photo is embroidered in gold. The back has pictures of the player’s head with gold borders on a white background. The player’s statistics are displayed in a box below the picture. The cards are listed below in alphabetical order by group. The subsets are coaches (301-327), team checklists (328-354), lottery picks (355-365), upgrades (366-420), and checklists (421-423). Featured rookie cards included in the set are Shawn Kemp, Tim Hardaway, Glen Rice and many, many more.
