5-Minute No-Equipment Workout: Boost Energy & Stamina Before School Starts

With the new school year approaching, it’s time to rediscover your fitness routine. And guess what? You don’t need much time or equipment to jumpstart your journey. This express circuit, validated by high-level physical preparers Romain Coudon and Thibaut Vaton, will help you wake up your muscles and amp up your cardio in just five minutes a day.

Muscle Strengthening 101

Squats

Squats (20 seconds): Stand with feet hip-width apart, arms in front of you. Bend your knees, pushing your glutes back until your thighs are parallel to the ground. Ensure your knees don’t extend past your toes. Return to standing position. “Squats engage many muscle groups, making them a great full-body exercise,” explains Coudon.

Lunges
Lunges

Alternating Lunges (20 seconds): Stand with hands on hips. Take a large step forward, bending the back knee toward the ground without touching. Return to starting position, then switch legs. Keep your torso upright throughout the movement.

Planks (20 seconds): Lie face down, prop yourself up on your toes and forearms. Keep your body in a straight line. Hold the position.
