Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier. 3rd grade middle school students took part in the CD 58 karting challenge. Thirty students, chosen from the four 3rd grade classes, took part in the fourth karting challenge organized by the Departmental Council. The whole day was devoted to discovering the automotive professions practiced in the Magny-Cours technology park. Visits to the Ellipse companies, the automobile concierge service and the single-seater museum kept the students busy until it was time to compete on the karting track.
On board the mini-cars, the thirty children fought to the maximum of their possibilities. The goal was, of course, to be the best. In this little game, it was Pierre Delhomme who won the race, arriving 46 thousandths of a second ahead of Louis Fity. The winner of this round will have the honor of representing the Allières establishment. He has already been selected for the intercollege grand final which will take place on Saturday April 12, 2025.
“It was an interesting day in the context of orientation and the search for 3rd year internships in this sector. It is a great opportunity for our middle school students to be able to participate in this operation, which must continue over time. This is very good for the development of our students, who can thus benefit from this unique technical pool,” said Jean-Marc Guenet, PE teacher at the Allières college.
