He covered the 136 km in 3h02mn05s with an average speed of 44.814 km/h. 64 riders were at the start of this stage. After a few km of group racing, 6 runners broke away (km 16) led by the Burkinabe, Rawendé Moukaila. At Km 25, 7 other runners join the group and put a gap of 45 seconds with the rest of the peloton. The group of escapees managed to widen the gap to 1mn20s at km36. At 1is intermediate sprint, the Burkinabè of the Central regional team, Wahabou Bouda, crossed 1is the line. He is respectively ahead of the Cameroonian, Mounawé Rodrigue Kueré and the Dutchman of the team, Duijvesteijn Roy. In the second intermediate sprint at Zorgho (km59.5), El Kouraji Mohcine won. He is followed by his compatriot, El Alouani Driss, and Mounawé Rodrigue Kueré. At the last hot spot of the stage, at Koupéla (km 90.5), the Burkinabè of the central regional team, Bamassi Soulama won respectively ahead of the Moroccans El Kouraji Mohcine and El Alouani Driss. At Km97, 5 runners including 3 Moroccans hold the lead of the race with a gap of 50 seconds from the rest of the peloton. 25km from the finish, the group of escapees widens the gap which increases to 1mn20s then to 2mn10s. 10 km from the finish, the three Moroccans, El Kouraji Mohcine, El Alouani Driss and El Arbaoui Adil got rid of the other two. This Moroccan trio will compete for stage victory and it is El Kouraji Mohcine who wins ahead of El Arbaoui Adil and El Alouani Driss. Thus, El Kouraji Mohcine puts on the yellow and green jerseys. The 1is Burkinabè at the finish, Bamassi Soulama, crossed line 4e in position. The 2e stage of the Tour du Faso 2024 will be contested tomorrow, October 26, 2024, between Koupéla and Ziniaré. 120,600km long, this stage will have three hot spots. The 1is in Zorgho (28.9km), the 2nd in Mogtedo (52.1km) and the last in Koulbila (90km).
