After 127 years, the torch passes down, and the May Fourth spirit blooms once again at the 4th Peking University Alumni Tennis Team Competition, held at the National Tennis Center on May 1, 2025.
High-Level Support, Professionally Organized
The competition, hosted by the Peking University Alumni Association and the Sports Teaching and Research Department, received strong support from the National Tennis Center. Users can experience professional-level events thanks to 12 indoor venues, medical services, and safety guarantees.
Opening Ceremony: Welcomes and Wishes
At the opening ceremony, deputy secretary-general Li Cunfeng warmly welcomed alumni, while Zhao Jindong, honorary president of Peking University’s Faculty and Workers Association, wished everyone to enjoy the competition, achieve level, friendship, and style. Li Yinhui, director, and Tianyoude Barley Wine Co., Ltd. chairman, hoped to open a broader stage for alumni sports spirit promotion.
The Game: “Blind Box” Teammates, Exciting Matches
The 4th team competition adopted a “draw lots” grouping, with a “Blind Box” activation that intensified training and teamwork. Three groups battled it out: Men’s Doubles 1 (Evergreen Group) and Mixed Doubles 2 (Youth Group). Each team had 8 members (6 men and 2 women), with a short-distance system, no first-hand score, and a trust system.
Champions Reign Supreme, Friendships Fostered
After intense competition, the “Tianluodi Net” team won the championship, with “Changlai Changwang” and “Seeking All in One Site” taking second and third places respectively.
Award Ceremony: Gratitude and Invitations
Award ceremony remarks emphasized unity, cooperation, and commitment to alma mater development and construction. Alumni were encouraged to return often and contribute actively to campus growth.
