Thank you for your continued support of the Ryukyu Golden Kings.
Kings U15 is held at Musashino Forest Sports Plaza in Tokyo from Saturday, January 4 to Wednesday, January 8.Keio Jr. Winter Cup 2024-2025 2024 5th National U15 Basketball Championship” and became the first Okinawa prefecture team to take second place in this tournament.
From the first game, the team used their strong basketball and strong defense as their weapons to confidently compete against powerful teams from all over the country. In particular, in the semi-finals, against the defending champion Yokkaichi Maryknoll Gakuin Junior High School (Mie Prefecture), #54 Keiji Koshi made eight consecutive 3-point shots and scored points from the start, resulting in a a stunning victory. And they confidently advanced to the final stage. In the final, they faced RIZINGS Tokushima (Tokushima Prefecture), and it was a back-and-forth battle from the start. The players fought with all their might until the last moment, but unfortunately they did not get a victory and ended up in second place.
In addition, in the individual awards, #29 Shunsuke Miyazato and #54 Keiji Koshi were selected as the top five.
It was possible only because of the support of everyone involved who supports us every day, everyone who gives us a beautiful environment, and all the people who helped build the history of Kings U15 until now, I want to express my heartfelt thanks.
The Kings Youth Team will continue to strive for further growth and bring joy and excitement to all who support us. We look forward to your continued support and encouragement.
Once again, many thanks for your support of Kings U15.
▽Comments from head coach Tomoya Suehiro
Although we unfortunately failed to win this tournament, the performance of the players who reached the finals of the national tournament was truly amazing. The progress of the players during the tournament was remarkable, and they showed great improvement not only technically but also mentally with each match.
It is very inspiring to see him fearlessly think for himself and solve problems on the big stage of the national tournament, against athletes who are physically superior to him.
The “super high-speed basketball” produced by the players on the court is a must see. All our staff will support us so that we can continue to progress in our preparation for the B.LEAGUE U15 CHAMPIONSHIP 2025, which will be held in March this year and will determine the winning team of the B.League U15.
We appreciate your continued support of the Ryukyu Golden Kings U15.

▽#29 Comment from Shunsuke Miyazato (captain)
This tournament ended with a runner-up result, falling one step short of our goal of becoming number one in Japan. However, this is also a tournament where all the third year students come together and feel their growth every day. I want to express my sincere gratitude to my parents, team staff, and everyone who has always supported me, allowing me to compete on a big stage like the finals.
In “B.LEAGUE U15 CHAMPIONSHIP 2025” in March, we will use this disappointment as a springboard and aim to win the championship as a team. Thank you for your continued support.
