The course is structured as a credit-earning course, with a focus on practice at the Okinawa Arena, classroom lectures at the University of the Ryukyus, and problem-solving presentations by each team. More specifically, in practice, students will participate in performance management of the Ryukyu Golden Kings at the Okinawa Arena, learn about sports business as a staff member, and explore problem solving through fieldwork.
Classroom lectures include a lecture by sports marketing expert Professor Tsuji, as well as a business lecture from Okinawa Basketball Co., Ltd. (Ryukyu Golden Kings). In addition, it is a practical lecture where participants participate in performances in arenas and receive feedback on fieldwork results to consider ways to improve operations.
